Welcome to Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.
We are an established PAOC Church centrally located in the great City of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Our dynamic church congregation enjoys an excellent demographic mix between seniors, youth, singles, couples and young families where we celebrate a vibrant multicultural mix of some 22 nationalities from across the world.
Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church is a Church who are on the move for God!
Vision Statement
Our Vision is, “To bring the ‘Gospel of Jesus Christ’ to the heart of our city, and the whole world.” Rather than merely curse the darkness, we choose to light a candle of hope for all the world to see.
Mission Statement
Our mission strategy is Community Action – City Mission – Church Ministry. Through presence, proximity and proclamation we are reaching, raising and releasing our city for God.
Faith Tabernacle exists to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Halifax by empowering believers to:
- effectively reach non-believers,
- fellowship together,
- grow spiritually,
- work wholeheartedly
Core Values
We value God and His Word. We recognize the authority of the Word of God in every sphere of our church. We acknowledge our need of a daily experience with God and the need for the Holy Spirit's leading and filling in our lives.
We value non-believers. We recognize that they have the right to hear the gospel from us where they are and in a way they understand. Therefore we will use whatever godly means are available to us to do so.
- We value believers of all ethnicity. We value the uniqueness of God's creation in people and we recognize that all have the need to be discipled to maturity in Christ. Therefore we welcome diversity and will use the means we have to bring all who come to Christ to a place of maturity in Him.
- We value New Testament Leadership. Therefore we seek to train our leaders in integrity, accountability and servanthood, encouraging all leaders to give their very best to God.
- All things with excellence
Statement of Faith
We Believe...
- in the entire Bible as the Inspired Word of God.
- in redemption through the Blood of Christ, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and His priestly ministry.
- in justification by Faith and the New Birth as essential for personal salvation.
- in the infilling of the Holy Spirit, with the initial physical evidence of speaking with other tongues, giving power for service and manifesting the fruits and gifts of the Spirit.
- in healing for the body as provided by Christ's death.
- in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- in the eternal destiny of man in either Heaven or Hell according to his acceptance or rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.
